Weather of Katara & Sanjhichat: 

April to July - Summer -  Katra gets quite hot like Delhi and Sanjhichat have moderate temperature.

Aug to Oct - Monsoon - It witnesses heavy rain fall due to its terrain.

Nov to March - Winter - During winter season Katra gets too cold & Sanjhichat temperature drops to 0 or below 0.

Many times, Sanjhichat witnesses heavy snow fall specially during the month of January & February.

 

OPERATIONAL DURING: - January to December

 

ITINERARY: - Jammu Airport - Sanjhichat Helipad - Jammu Airport.

When you arrive at Jammu Airport from your destination, Jammu Airport security check clearances & manifest & other formalities may take 40 minutes soon Helicopter takeoff from Katara helipad for Jammu Airport & will pick the passengers (with in the passengers given weight limit) & will fly passengers directly to Shanjichat helipad, passengers are welcomed & greeted on arrival at shanjichat helipad, our ground handling staff will help passengers in doing VIP Darshan. Once passengers finish darshan & return to Sanjhichat helipad there it may 20minutes as helicopter will take off from Katara helipad to pick passengers from Sanjhichat helipad and then passengers will fly back to Jammu Airport. 

 

**Our ground handler will meet passengers at the Jammu Airport & will brief & Asst passengers about do’s & don’t before boarding helicopter**.

Things to carry: -

Sports/trekking shoes, warm cloths, rain coat, sunburn cream, sunglasses, water bottle, medications if prescribed to any passengers.

**Post-paid sim only works in Jammu & Kashmir, Prepaid-sim does not works in Jammu & Kashmir**.

 

Cancellation Policy: -

You or any member of your party may cancel your tour at any time providing the cancellation is in writing. Notice of the cancellation will be effective upon receipt of your written communication. As we start to incur cost from the time the contract is confirmed. We will retain your deposit, but no other administration charges will be levied. Where written notification of the cancellation is received.

  • In case of cancellation 10% of the total tour cost will be adjusted for making your tour arrangements.  

  • Between 10 to 07 days before departure:                                                            20% of the holiday cost. 

  • Between 07 to 02 days before departure:                                                            30% of the holiday cost.

  • Between 02 days & 24 hours before departure (or failure to join the holiday):  50% of the holiday cost.

  • 24 hours or less before departure:                                                                       70% of the holiday cost.

Occasionally we have to update information in our brochures and other publications both before and after booking have been confirmed. Whilst we always endeavour to avoid charges and cancellation, we must reserve the right to do so.

 

Compensation will not be payable if we are forced to cancel or in any way changes the tour for reason of consolidation due to minimum numbers not being attained or force majeure operation of all tours is dependent on a minimum number of persons booking the tour. If that number is not achieved, we reserve the right to cancel the tour.

 

In no circumstance will we cancel your tour less than 01 week before the scheduled departure date except for reason of late cancellations from other passengers on your departure, force majeure (as defined below) of failure on your part to pay the final balance. We strongly recommend that you make no travel arrangements to your point of departure, make any connecting or incurs any cost in respect of visas confirmed. If you make such arrangement which you are then unable to use due to a change in your itinerary, we shall not be liable to you for the cost of those arrangements.

 

If we are forced to cancel your holiday after departure, we will wherever possible, make suitable alternative arrangements, if we are unable to make such alternative arrangements, or you reject these good reasons then we will return you to your point of departure and refund you for any unused services, if appropriate.

 

When you have advised of the alteration prior to the departure and elect to continue with the trip, this will be deemed to be acceptance of the changes(s)

 

High Altitude DO’S and DON’Ts: - 

​

  DO’S -

  1. All Passengers are advised to carry a small oxygen bottle with them as a precaution. It is also available locally at all medical shops.

  2. Day time temperature at all these dhams is pretty well remans normal but as the sun goes down the temperature falls down quickly so it is always advised to carry warm/woollen cloths with you.

  3. It is advised to take palkis/Ponies instead of trekking to avoid high altitude sickness.

  4. Take a short break to catch up your breath and always carry water & glucose mixture to drink when feel tired.

  5. Women are advised to wear salwar kameez, paint shirt or a track suit. Saree is never suitable for this kind of yatra. Keep some spare clothes and cold cream, Vaseline or sunscreen to protect your hands and face from sunburn.

  6. Keep your identity card and emergency contact details in your pocket in case of emergency.

  7. Always advised to carry some warm clothes with you. Weather is always unpredictable at that altitude.

 

 DON’TS -

  1. Don’t get exhausted yourself and go out of your breath.

  2. Don’t use slippers, always wear trekking or sports shoes.

  3. Don’t stop at a place which is marked by warning notice or dangerous.

  4. Don’t ignore any symptoms such as headache, extreme tiredness, nausea, vomiting.

  5. Don’t track alone, stay with your group.

Helicopter weight limitations - 

Passengers are requested to provide us with their right weight at the time of booking. Helicopters have 06 + 01 seating capacity including pilot and weight carrying capacity of the aircraft is 450 kgs onboard. Passengers would be taken onboard depending up on load and temperature conditions. All passengers weight will be measured by the weighing machine at the time of boarding helicopter. it is must since the pilot will not allow boarding in case it exceeds the weight limitations & we reserve the right to cancel the overweight passenger/s to manage the right weight of helicopters for safe flying in the hills.

Baggage Allowance: -

There is very limited space for luggage in the helicopter. 

Only 05 kgs luggage per passenger will be permitted. 

Passengers must only carry handbags (suitcases cannot be carried due to weight limitation in the helicopter).

Health Advisory - Details of Insurance

All passengers undertaking this yatra should be medically & physically fit. Passengers having asthma problems should not undertake this yatra.

All passengers are advised to carry their own medication kit, if they are on any medications. Company shall not be liable for any medical emergency of the passengers. 

It is also advised to all passengers to visit their doctor before commencing yatra for routine medical check-up & get the fitness certificate from doctor to travel (high altitude).

You are strongly advised to insure yourself against possible risk that may occur and in particular to ensure that you have sufficient pre-departure cancellation cover which includes dependent relatives upon whom your trip depend. You should make sure your insurance includes escorted/land travel, as this is specific to the type of holiday we offer. You are required to carry proof of insurance with you and produce it if requested by company employees or supplier.

 

You are responsible for ensuring that you have possession of a valid travel insurance for entire duration of your trip in respect of medical expenses, medical emergency repatriation (including helicopter and air ambulance) and death. You must ensure that there are no exclusion clauses which limit covers for the type of activities included in your tour such as but not limited to, trekking at the altitude, as we will not be responsible for cost you may incur as a result of not having valid adequate travel insurance. It is the responsibility of all our clients to declare any material facts including medical conditions to their insurers as failure to do so many results in a claim being reduced or declined.

 

Personal injury

We will not make any payment if your injury, illness or death was caused by an event or circumstances which the person who caused it could not have predicted or avoided even if they take all necessary and due care. We will not make any payment if your illness, injury or death was your own fault. If we do make payment, it will be similar to one you would receive under Indian law in an Indian court.

 

Participation requirement

All clients are expected to satisfy themselves prior to booking that they are fit and able to complete the itinerary for the chosen holiday as described in the brochure. No unaccompanied minors (those under 18years age) can be accepted however older teenagers (those aged 14 and over) may be allowed to join certain groups tours provided they are accompanied by a parents or guardians who accept full responsibility for them.

 Anyone suffering from mobility impairment, illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical conditions must declare the nature of such condition at the time of booking and make arrangements for the provision of any medication or other treatment which may be required during the holiday. Failure to make such disclosure will constitute a breach of these booking conditions and may result in such person being excluded from the holiday in which case all monies paid will be forfeit. If you are affected by any condition, medical or otherwise that might affect your or other people enjoyment of the holiday, you must advise us of this at the time of booking.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: -

1. Only 5 Kg baggage per passenger will be permitted. Passengers are advised not to carry big suitcases as there is very small baggage space inside helicopter. Passengers bringing excess baggage might not be allowed to take the same in the chopper by pilot. 

2. Children above the age of 02 years will be considered full ticket (Birth certificate or ID proof of the child shall be checked). There is no provision of concession to children or senior citizens.

3. The company reserves the right to cancel the passengers who are unruly, abusive, intoxicated, sick, mentally unfit or anyone else whom we deem to be unsafe to fly. No refund shall be done in such condition.

4. 05Passengers total weight should below or should not exceed 400kilograms & 06Passengers total weight should below or should not exceed 450kilograms **depending upon available helicopter type**. Beyond said weight limit the flight won’t be able to take off and your journey will be cancelled effective immediately (it is vital for you to provide us with the right & exact weight to avoid such situation 

5. The booking has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the charter amount & rest balance amount has to be deposited 10 days prior to date of journey. 

6. Rescheduling of booking to a next date will be done subject to availability & on advance payment of 10% of the total cost. 

7. The Company reserves all the right without assigning any reason, to cancel, advance, reschedule, over-fly or delay the commencement or continuance of the flight. Without incurring any liability in damages or otherwise to the passengers or any other person on any ground whatsoever. The Company reserves the right to refuse to carry any person whom it considers unfit for travel or what in the opinion of the company may constitute risk to the aircraft or to the persons on board. 

In case of all legal matters will be considered & taken to the local court of the company parament address.   

8. BAD WEATHER SITUATION: 

August to October is monsoon season in India in which Katra and Sanjhichat face heavy rain and bad weather. Passengers should come prepared to face the eventualities which can arise by bad weather/force majeure problems. In case of flight cancellation due to bad weather or low visibility 11.5% service charge will be applicable. 

9. Our Heli charters are not available for the following VIP’s:

- Speaker LOK Sabha

- DV. Chairperson Rajya Sabha

- Central minister of Cabinet Rank

- CJI Supreme Court

- Governors of State 

- Chief Ministers of State

- State Ministers of Cabinet Rank

- SPG Protectees, Z Category only

10. No Aerial Photography: Aerial Photography from helicopter is illegal and punishable by law and photography at the helipad is highly prohibited. If you are found to do so you will be fined. 

11. Our company shall not be liable for any medical emergency to the passenger/s on ground as well as off ground during yatra, therefore in your own interest guests are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done prior commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a guest has any medical condition.

12. No additional ferry flights shall be brone by the company under any circumstances. If any passenger(s) require ferry flight to be operated specially for them in emergency on personal request, cost for the same shall be charged to the party only.

13. If any group/person request to cancel their tour on their own desire in mid tour and come down before their scheduled return date, the arrangement of the vehicle to Jammu for their return journey by road shall be booked by the company, however the cost for the same will be payable by the guests on direct payment basis. No refunds are applicable on company, if guests wish to cancel & return mid tour. 

Note: - Flying in hills is subject to weather conditions and many force majeure factors like Air traffic, daily clearances/ permissions before flying (NOTAM). Clint should have the mind set to face the eventualities arises by bad weather, low visibility, VVIP flying and Airforce valley flying practice.

Booking will be taken considering there is acceptance of the above-mentioned terms & conditions by the booking party.

 

We reserve all rights to remove or make changes to the products, information, content, material, tools and feature on this website at any time.

 

Law & Jurisdiction:

If you booked your holiday in any jurisdiction (including any booking via the internet), this contract and any other claim or dispute arising from or related to this contract, will be governed by the Indian law and court of India the case will be only logged and held in the city where we have our head office.

Event beyond our control

Events beyond our control includes: war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity and its consequences, industrial dispute, natural and nuclear disaster, fire, epidemics, health risk and pandemics, unavoidable and unforeseeable technical problems with transport for the reasons beyond our control or that of our suppliers: closed or congested airport or ports, hurricanes, and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, and other similar events.
