CHARDHAM HELICOPTER YATRA - 5Nights & 6 Days

EX-DEHRADUN

​OPERATIONAL DURING: May to June (Pre-Monsoon) and September to October (Post-Monsoon)

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY & Places covered:  Dehradun → Yamunotri → Gangotri → Kedarnath → Badrinath → Dehradun.

​

Passengers are supposed to report state government helipad on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun, where from you commence your beautiful journey and finish your yatra. Our pilots and ground staff will brief passengers about the entire trip and do’s and don’ts. 

​

DAY 01:

 Sahastradhara Alt. 2800ft

Your tour commences with a pick up from Dehradun airport/railway station one day prior to the chardham yatra departure followed by drop to the hotel. Overnight stay at Dehradun on room + dinner including morning Packed breakfast basis. At the hotel you will meet our staff who will brief you about the yatra.

DAY 02:

For Yamunotri (Kharsali) Alt. 8500ft

Wake-up early morning for the departure to the Sahastradhara helipad. Once you reach the helipad you will welcomed, greeted and will be briefed about entire program, do’s & don’t for trip by our representative. 

Departure at 07:00 am from Helipad & arrival 07:45 am at Kharsali helipad, Yamunotri.

Upon arrival at kharsali helipad passengers will be welcomed by ground staff/handler and then drive to the point from where one has to trek for 6Kms (other option are to hire Palki/Pony -- up and down) we offer you a car for this drive (Innova not permitted by local taxi union) the entire trip takes approx. 05 hours. After doing darshan you will be transferred to hotel and do hotel check-inn followed by lunch. Overnight stay at Kharsali.

DAY 03: 

For Gangotri (Harsil) Alt. 8200ft

07:45am departure from Yamunotri helipad & arrive 08:30am at Harsil Helipad. Harsil is one of the most beautiful & picturesque valleys in entire Uttarakhand. It is also referred as a mini-Switzerland. The distance of the Gangotri temple is about 22 kms from Harsil helipad so the drive takes approx. 50 minutes. It is advisable that passengers visit temple first than check into hotel.

Our ground staff/handler will assist passengers in darshan at Gangotri temple. After darshan passengers are driven to the hotel, do check -inn followed by lunch & afternoon fee or relax than after.

 It is recommended to visit nearby village for an evening walk which offers a lovely little market where one can have a chance to buy pure woollen stuff (sweaters/shawl/mufflers) made by local tribal women of this village.

DAY 04:

For Kedarnath: Alt.11700ft (Sersi/Guptakashi) Alt. 6500ft

09:00am departure from Harsil helipad & arrive 09:45am at Sersi/Guptkashi. From Sersi/Guptakashi you will be sent by helicopter shuttle service to Kedarnath helipad (**We have to be patient as it may take some time for your turn to fly by shuttle service reason due to already made shuttles & slot system, also as per UCADA rule no other aircraft than shuttle service can go directly to Kedarnath Helipad). Kedarnath temple is about 500 meters from the helipad, our staff/handler will lead you to the holy temple, we will offer VIP darshan slips at Kedarnath temple so you can avoid the long queue and finish darshan quickly, the cost of this slip is Rs. 2100/- per person which is included in our package (The rate of VIP darshan slip is decided by Mandir samiti). After Darshan return back to helipad and fly to Sersi/Guptkashi. Do check-in to hotel followed by lunch at Hotel Overnight stay at Sersi/Guptkashi.

 

DAY 05:

Badrinath: Alt 10300ft

10:15am departure from Sersi/Guptkashi helipad & arrive 11:00 am at Badrinath helipad, upon arrival passengers will be taken to hotel, do check-in to hotel, thereafter go for darshan. Our ground staff/handler will assist passengers in darshan at the temple after darshan you will return back to hotel & have lunch.

You can visit to Mana village in evening, it is highly recommended as this is the last village before international border with China.

DAY 06: 

Return to Dehradun:

11:30 am departure from Badrinath helipad & arrive 12:30 am at Sahastradhara helipad, Dehradun. Early morning Special Abhishek Puja (Is additional on direct payment basis) at Badrinath temple is the highlight of this entire yatra. It starts sharp at 4.30 am in the morning and lasts for 2 hours. Passengers has an opportunity to witness aarti from inside the temple and have darshan of the shrine of the deity from very close quarters. After darshan return back to hotel have breakfast and fly to Dehradun. 

 

Upon arrival at Dehradun helipad, you will be transferred to Airport/Railway station. Helicopter tour finished here with happy memories to be cherished forever. 

 

This is the end of Chardham Yatra.

 

Note: - Exact Schedule can be advised before a day of departure. Above mentioned schedule is tentative just for understanding the operational system & timings. Things can be changed last moment due to any operational or weather changes.

Package does not incudes: â€‹

- Any special puja or abhishek charges will have to be paid directly by passengers. 

- Expenses of personal nature such as tipping, laundry, telephones, table drink, room service, medical evacuation due to ill health etc. 

- Any kind of Insurance. 

- Any claim or delay charges due to any operational or weather changes etc. 

- Any other things which are not mentioned in cost included column. 

- Any Increase in Taxes, Fuel Price, Royalty charges Leading to increase in cost on surface Transportation & Land      Arrangements, Which may come into Effect Prior to Departure.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR PASSENGERS & TO BE STRICKLY FOLLOWED: -

 

Baggage Allowance -

There is very limited space for luggage in the helicopter. 

Only 05 kgs luggage per passenger will be permitted. 

Passengers must only carry handbags (suitcases cannot be carried due to weight limitation in the helicopter).

 

Health Advisory -

All temples in Chardham are located at high altitude ranging between 8500ft to 11500ft in which Kedarnath dham being the highest. High altitude always involves exposer to extreme cold, low humidity, reduced air pressure and oxygen level and increased ultraviolet radiation. Common high-altitude sicknesses and their symptoms

Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE), High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE).

  1. Breathing problem

  2. Headache

  3. Dizziness and difficulty in sleeping

  4. Fatigue and weakness

  5. Nausea and vomiting 

All passengers undertaking this yatra should be medically & physically fit. Ladies who are more than 6 weeks pregnant shall not be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage.

Passengers having asthma problems should not undertake this yatra.

All passengers are advised to carry their own medication kit, if they are on any medications. Company shall not be liable for any medical emergency of the passengers. 

It is also advised to all passengers to visit their doctor before commencing yatra for routine medical check-up & get the fitness certificate from doctor to travel Chardham (high altitude).

 

  High Altitude DO’S and DON’Ts: - 

​

  DO’S -

  1. All Passengers are advised to carry a small oxygen bottle with them as a precaution. It is also available locally at all medical shops.

  2. Day time temperature at all these dhams is pretty well remans normal but as the sun goes down the temperature falls down quickly so it is always advised to carry warm/woollen cloths with you.

  3. It is advised to take palkis/Ponies instead of trekking to avoid high altitude sickness.

  4. Take a short break to catch up your breath and always carry water & glucose mixture to drink when feel tired.

  5. Women are advised to wear salwar kameez, paint shirt or a track suit. Saree is never suitable for this kind of yatra. Keep some spare clothes and cold cream, Vaseline or sunscreen to protect your hands and face from sunburn.

  6. Keep your identity card and emergency contact details in your pocket in case of emergency.

  7. Always advised to carry some warm clothes with you. Weather is always unpredictable at that altitude.

 

 DON’TS -

  1. Don’t get exhausted yourself and go out of your breath.

  2. Don’t use slippers, always wear trekking or sports shoes.

  3. Don’t stop at a place which is marked by warning notice or dangerous.

  4. Don’t ignore any symptoms such as headache, extreme tiredness, nausea, vomiting.

  5. Don’t track alone, stay with your group.

 Helicopter weight limitations - 

Passengers would be taken onboard depending up on load and temperature conditions. all passengers weight will be measured by the weighing machine at the time of boarding helicopter. it is must since the pilot will not allow boarding in case it exceeds the weight limitations & we reserve the right to shuffle passengers to manage the right weight of helicopters for safe flying in the hills.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: -

 

1. Normal quality accommodation(average) is available at Yamunotri & Kedarnath. Passengers should not expect very high expectations. At Harsil & Badrinath accommodation is 3star standard. 

2. Only 5 Kg baggage per passenger will be permitted. Passengers are advised not to carry big suitcases as there is very small baggage space inside helicopter. Passengers bringing excess baggage might not be allowed to take the same in the chopper by pilot. 

3. Children above the age of 02 years will be considered full ticket (Birth certificate or ID proof of the child shall be checked). There is no provision of concession to children or senior citizens.

4. The company reserves the right to cancel the passengers who are unruly, abusive, intoxicated, sick, mentally unfit or anyone else whom we deem to be unsafe to fly. No refund shall be done in such condition.

5. 05Passengers total weight should below or should not exceed 400kilograms & 06Passengers total weight should below or should not exceed 450kilograms **depending upon available helicopter type**. Beyond said weight limit the flight won’t be able to take off and your journey will be cancelled effective immediately (it is vital for you to provide us with the right & exact weight to avoid such situation 

6. The booking has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the charter amount & rest balance amount has to be deposited 14 days prior to date of journey. 

7. In case the journey is not finished within the stipulated time & passengers are not able to visit one or more Dhams due to bad weather conditions/technical reasons then the company will try to make you visit all places within the stipulated time. Although if this is not possible then the liability of the company will be limited to refund of unutilised sector/s. 

8. Rescheduling of booking to a next date will be done subject to availability & on advance payment of 10% of the total cost. This will be permitted only if applied 7 days before journey date. In case the rescheduling is requested with less than 7 days to the journey then booking will be treated as cancelled and a fresh booking will be given subject to availability. 

9. The Company reserves all the right without assigning any reason, to cancel, advance, reschedule, over-fly or delay the commencement or continuance of the flight. Without incurring any liability in damages or otherwise to the passengers or any other person on any ground whatsoever. The Company reserves the right to refuse to carry any person whom it considers unfit for travel or what in the opinion of the company may constitute risk to the aircraft or to the persons on board. 

In case of all legal matters will be considered & taken to the local court of the company parament address.   

10. BAD WEATHER SITUATION: If you are stuck in a bad weather situation on any particular day out of the 5days we will still try to finish the darshan on next day. In case we are completely unable to visit any dham due to bad weather situation we will refund proportionate money. This means that if due to any reason we are unable to do 2dhams or 01 dham then we will refund the amount acc. to flying time. 11.5% service charge will be applicable in Case of cancellation due to weather. Rescheduling if in case of continues bad weather will totally depends on next day’s availability. 

Additional night halt charges shall be payable by the guest to hotel on direct payment basis, who continue to stay in hotel accommodation arranged by the company during the bad weather day halts.

11. Our Heli charters are not available for the following VIP’s:

- Speaker LOK Sabha

- DV. Chairperson Rajya Sabha

- Central minister of Cabinet Rank

- CJI Supreme Court

- Governors of State 

- Chief Ministers of State

- State Ministers of Cabinet Rank

- SPG Protectees, Z Category only

12. No Aerial Photography:    Aerial Photography from helicopter is illegal and punishable by law and photography at the helipad is highly prohibited. If you are found to do so you will be fined. 

13. Our company shall not be liable for any medical emergency to the passenger/s on ground as well as off ground during yatra, therefore in your own interest guests are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done prior commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a guest has any medical condition.

14. No additional ferry flights shall be brone by the company under any circumstances. If any passenger(s) require ferry flight to be operated specially for them in emergency on personal request, cost for the same shall be charged to the party only.

15. If any group/person request to cancel their tour on their own desire in mid tour and come down before their scheduled return date, the arrangement of the vehicle to Dehradun for their return journey by road shall be booked by the company, however the cost for the same will be payable by the guests on direct payment basis. No refunds are applicable on company, if guests wish to cancel & return mid tour.  

  

If passengers wish to cancel their booking, then they have to bear following cancellation charges: -

Up to10 days before journey 30% of the total amount

Up to 05 days before journey 50% of the total amount

Less than 48 hours before journey 75% of the total amount

Less than 24 hours before journey -NO REFUND.

**NO SHOW - NO REFUND**

 

Note: - Flying in hills is subject to weather conditions and many force majeure factors like Air traffic, daily clearances/ permissions before flying (NOTAM). Clint should have the mind set to face the eventualities arises by bad weather, low visibility, VVIP flying and Airforce valley flying practice.

 

At the time of booking, we need your I’ds. {For Indian passengers -Adhar card/Driving licence/Voter I’d} {For Foreign passengers - Passport}

 

Booking will be taken considering there is acceptance of the above-mentioned terms & conditions by the booking party.

Events beyond our control includes: war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity and its consequences, industrial dispute, natural and nuclear disaster, fire, epidemics, health risk and pandemics, unavoidable and unforeseeable technical problems with transport for the reasons beyond our control or that of our suppliers: closed or congested airport or ports, hurricanes, and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, and other similar events.
